Sad News: Our Absence from GENCON 2023

Dear friends,

With heavy hearts, we must announce that we will not be attending GENCON 2023, the much-anticipated event just a few days away. This decision has not been made lightly, and we truly regret having to share this news with you, our cherished community.

GENCON has always been a highlight of our year, a time when we gather with fellow gamers, celebrate our shared love, and showcase the exciting projects we’ve been working on. However, upon assessing the landscape of major role-playing games slated for the convention, we have realized that this year’s lineup is filled with a staggering array of incredible titles from well-known and respected companies. Here is a very short list of those who have announced a major present at the convention:

  • Kobold Press – Tales of the Valiant
  • Critical Role’s – Daggerheart and Candela Obscura
  • Marvel – Multiverse RPG
  • Werewolf – The apocalypse
  • Free League – Dragonbane
  • And many more.

Also having a huge presence at the convention will be two new collectable card games from major companies:

  • Disney – Lorcana
  • Fantasy Flight Games – STAR WARS: UNLIMITED

The amount of people, energy, and money which these companies are pouring into the convention this year is going to be impressive.  After much deliberation, we concluded that we could not compete with the scale and resources of these well-funded companies, and that we don’t want to get lost in the shadows.  Although we will not be physically present at GENCON 2023, our spirit will be there throughout the event, catching the online offerings. Please know that this decision does not in any way diminish our passion for our game or our plans, only our timeline. 

As we look ahead, we are already planning for future events and conventions where you can connect with us directly. Your support means the world to us, and we are committed to improving our game with your input and bringing the game to market with great art and the fewest possible typos.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Your enthusiasm fuels our passion for creating exceptional gaming experiences, and we are grateful to have you on this journey with us. Game Campaign out of nowhere.

Hello everyone,

I hope this email finds you well! I wanted to share some thrilling news that I recently discovered. My dear friend Jon has started a new game campaign using Warriors, Wizards vs Aliens cards and mechanics, but with his own original story. Isn’t that amazing?

Jon’s creative twist has taken the campaign in a different direction than what was originally planned. One notable addition is the inclusion of a magical airship in the adventures. I can only imagine the incredible possibilities and exciting challenges that await his players as they embark on this unique journey.

It’s fascinating to see how Jon’s imagination has shaped the narrative and gameplay of this campaign. I’m sure his players will have an unforgettable experience exploring the world he has created. We’ll eagerly await updates on the campaign’s progress and the thrilling encounters that lie ahead.

On behalf of all of us, I’d like to extend our best wishes to Jon and his players as they navigate the mysteries and challenges that await them. May their dice roll favorably and their characters emerge victorious in the face of adversity!

If Jon and his players are open to it, we would love to hear more about this playtest in the future. Sharing their stories, epic moments, and unexpected twists would undoubtedly make for fascinating discussions among friends.

A great website to check out:  2-Minute Tabletop

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic I started to do a lot of online gaming like so many others.  During this time, I found the 2-Minute Tabletop website, founded by Ross and his talented team.  I was so impressed that I went ahead and bought the “everything pack” – a treasure trove of resources that includes all their maps, assets, and tools.  As a Game Master it made my job so much easier and it man games very enjoyable for my player.

It is worth noting that this unpaid comment serves as a testament to the genuine appreciation of Ross and his team’s efforts. It is a reminder of the importance of supporting artists who dedicate their time and talent to enriching our gaming experiences. By visiting the 2-Minute Tabletop website, gamers not only gain access to exceptional resources but also provide encouragement and recognition to the creators behind them.

Dice Tower West convention 2023

I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who attended the Dice Tower West convention.

During the convention, we had the showcased Warriors, Wizards vs Aliens game and want to thank you all for stopping by to play the game and to talk with us. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who made the Dice Tower West convention possible. Post GenCon 2022 report

I hope that travelers to GenCon 2022 have recovered at this point, for those who weren’t able to attend, be glad you avoided the half-mile or more walk across the convention center to get to the right room to play.

Thank you everyone who played Defenders of Terra with us at GenCon 2022.  Our new adventure played really well and I want to thank everyone who gave us feedback and suggestions.   You are already helping us as we progress forward to a Kickstarter release of the game.  Let us know if you have more feedback to give us, now that you’ve had time to think.
